On the Farm: Experience #1 – Wine in the City

Friday, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Enjoy a gourmet lunch in one of Seattle’s most charming urban farms. Tucked into 16 acres of beautiful gardens is the Center for Urban Horticulture. Not only is it a working farm, it provides endless opportunities for any age student wanting to learn more about urban farming, plants and the environment.

Featured Chef
Chef Kyle Peterson from Palace Kitchen (Tom Douglas Restaurants) will prepare a delectable meal on-site using produce from the urban farm, supplemented by additional ingredients from Tom Douglas’ Prosser Farm. Chef Peterson has a long history with the Tom Douglas Restaurants – starting as a cook at Seatown, moving to Sous Chef at Etta’s, and then on to work under Chef Nathan Crave (Taste Washington on the Farm 2017 alum) at Palace Kitchen. Chef Peterson lives in Edmonds with his wife, two kids, two dogs, two cats and a backyard full of chickens.
