Winery Info – 2012 Seattle
CHANGES TO TASTE WASHINGTON
The Washington State Wine Commission and Seattle’s Convention and Visitors Bureau (SCVB) announced the formation of a new partnership to produce Taste Washington, the nation’s largest single-region wine and food event held annually in Seattle.
The Taste Washington Grand Tasting, previously a one-day event, will now expand to two days, Saturday, March 31 and Sunday, April 1 at CenturyLink Field Event Center in Seattle. We are confident that the expanded format will enhance business opportunities for wineries, restaurants, hotels, visitor attractions and other businesses.
MAPS & DIRECTIONS
All load in is through the East Hall. Everyone needs to enter through the North Lot. Click HERE for directions & a map to CenturyLink Field Event Center.
LOAD-IN HOURS
We are offering early load-in on Friday, March 30th from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Load-in hours for Saturday, March 31st are 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with limited load-in available after 10:30 a.m. All load-in is through the East Hall of the CenturyLink Field Event Center. We encourage all participants to load-in early. This will ensure that everyone will be ready by the times the doors open.
Seminars occur at CenturyLink Field Event Center on the Concourse Level from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Load-in will be restricted starting at 10:30 a.m. Please plan accordingly.
WINERY PARKING - IMPORTANT!
This is the best/worst kept secret at Taste Washington. Each year a number of wineries show up at the end of the load-in time and become frustrated with the long line of cars waiting to park and the long wait at registration. Don't be that winery! Read the offer below carefully and reap the benefits of early load-in on Friday!
(This does not guarantee parking. You must show up on Friday!).
It's that easy. Come on Friday for load-in and get free parking and an easy Saturday morning. If you show up at load-in between 10am-12pm on Saturday, please be patient with parking, volunteers and the registration process.
WINERY REPRESENTATIVES
Each winery is allotted three representative badges with each winery registration. Badges will be available at check-in. It will be your responsibility to keep your badge for entry on Sunday.

DÉCOR
Wineries may bring table décor that may not exceed the 6' of table space provided. Decorations may not exceed 6' in height (from floor). The event ends at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Taste Washington Staff will provide the following clean up service:
- Empty and rinse your dump bucket
- Empty trash and dispose of empty wine bottles
- Empty your ice tub
Wineries are responsible for general table clean-up. If you have soiled linen, please talk to a Taste Washington Staff Member at the Supply Hut to discuss replacement.
WINERY LOAD-OUT - SUNDAY
The event ends at 5:00 p.m. Please do not break down stations until after 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Fire code requires consumers exit before load-out can begin. The East Hall doors will not open before consumers have left the building. Your patience is appreciated.
Participants are responsible for removing all equipment or supplies on Sunday, April 1.
Load out the same way you entered. Please return all hand trucks to the East Hall loading entrance.
Any materials remaining at the end of the event will be disposed of; the Washington State Wine Commission is not responsible for any personal or company property left behind.
Please return your credential to a badge collection box or Taste Washington Staff Member.
